The KeyLock newel post fastener works on finished floors, stairs, ceramic tile, and concrete. The fastener is completely concealed when installed – no extra trim is required! As the lag bolt head slides down the tapered keyhole slot, the newel post and floor draw tightly together for a strong installation.

The lag bolt can be installed three different ways:

1. Recess lag bolt head flush with floor surface.
2. Recess lag bolt head into bottom end of the newel post.
3. Recess lag bolt head half-way into the floor and half-way into the post.

Note: The fully threaded rod can be cut to different lengths as needed.
